The first Xapsys system started life following a visit by Phil Cox, our Managing Director to a manufacturing company to consult on process improvements. Phil’s client knew it needed to modernise in order to progress but was disillusioned with off shelf products either not fitting their processes and products or being extremely expensive and sometimes both.
With the help of some close contacts Phil designed and developed a custom SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection System) and a live cloud based Dashboard Reporting module to link into their Sage 200 ERP system. These developments proved to be more effective and affordable than off the shelf products on the marketplace and were successful in exceeding his client’s expectations.
Having shared details of the SFDC program and live dashboard with peers during a networking meeting, the potential for the system was clearly apparent and Xapsys was born! The SFDC program would later develop further to become Xapsys Workflow and the dashboard became Xapsys Live.
With the help of some exciting young developers, Xapsys began to invest in its brand and its SFDC system to build on the system it had.
Phil’s original client was so pleased with the system they had that they requested a tailored version of the system to be implemented into its sister business. Meanwhile further modules and systems were in the works following feedback and requests from newly found partners, existing customers and prospects.
By networking and marketing through existing contacts and partners Xapsys began to gain traction with customers being impressed by the adaptability of Xapsys products, seamless integration into their ERP systems and the low cost of the set-up.
